Canyon Colca Condor Tour 2g/1n

Most famous for condor spotting, Colca Canyon is one of Peru’s top tourist destinations, where you can see the Andean Condor fly in its natural habitat.

DAY 1:

• Pick up at hotel at 7:30 am by private bus then we leave to the Colca Valley and to the Colca Canyon
• The tour starts from the village of Yura where we will appreciate the natural and cultural landscape of this area.
• We will follow the Yura road bordering the Chanchani volcano and then will head towards Pampa Cañahuas on the Aguada Blanca & Salinas National Reserve
• The tour guide will explain about the Colca Canyon, Andean condor and the local flora and fauna.
• Stop at the little town called Patahuasi where we will have the opportunity to drink Coca Tea” (Mate de coca) to avoid altitude sickness, before getting to the highest point of our walk: Patapampa viewpoint, o Mirador de los Andes, a 4710 mt with the majestic views of the cordillera and the mountains.
• Walk towards de little town of Chivay, with lunch and short rest before continuing the tour.
• Arrival at 4pm in Cabanaconde, where we will spend the night.

DAY 2:

• After an early breakfast, we leave for “Cruz del Condor” (Condor´s Cross) a unique place where we will be watching condors, and admiring Colca Canyon
• Return towards Chivay, and free time to enjoy Calera’s Hot Springs nearby.
• Lunch and return to Arequipa.
• Return to hotel at 6pm
• End of tour.
